connect

What we do

We’re media professionals who tell the stories of makers and growers and celebrate the regional communities they call home.

Led by veteran food writer Wendy Hargreaves, our team of journalists, photographers and videographers love a good yarn. We have a knack for finding great human stories and bringing them to life.

Wendy has spent decades reporting on people, places and events with national media companies in Australia and abroad. Now the born-and-bred country girl is using her journalism skills and extensive network to shine a light on regional Australia via live radio shows, video documentaries, podcasts and written stories.

We work with municipal councils, tourism organisations and food industry groups to help them reach audiences in meaningful ways.

Everyone’s got a yarn to tell, and we’re ready to listen.

Connection

We connect people and communities with stories that cut through the noise.  We also collaborate with influential leaders to amplify the story. Check out Wendy’s live-streamed interview with award-winning food writer and hospitality campaigner Dani Valent.

Our founder Wendy Hargreaves loves the spontenaity of a live broadcast, tapping into her radio and TV experience.. I

agility

We’re a small team, so we’re agile and cost-effective. With decades of experience in media, we know the right people and get stuff done fast. And just so you know… we still get tingles when we experience those magic moments that create a great human story. That feeling never gets old.

Your Neck of the Woods - KOROIT

This is a documentary series celebrating the people who make and grow food in towns across regional Victoria. We start in Koroit, a little town on the edge of an extinct volcano overlooking the Southern Ocean. Koroit is a hidden gem, where fertile volcanic soils have sprouted some amazing food and drink businesses.

Obsession: the Kate Reid story

Kate Reid’s lifelong obsession with perfection fuelled a path from Formula 1 racing engineer to world-famous croissant chef, with a dangerous detour in between. This short film, created by journalist Wendy Hargreaves and videographer Kaine Harling, won awards at the Action on Film International Film Festival in Las Vegas in 2019. Kate Reid’s success in pastry and business has continued to soar since the film’s production. Stay tuned for an update of Obsession, as we’re sure Kate’s story will only become more interesting.

Burnt

This award winning short film by Wendy Hargreaves explores how high stress, long hours and brutal pressure are all in a day’s work for chefs. So how do they deal with it? Danish executive chef Bente Grysbæk reveals how fire saved her life after a massive anxiety attack. These beautiful images in the bush north of Melbourne are by chef-turned-photographer Dean Cambray.
